This week we started filming a promotional clip for our Fashion Event as part of a group project. We're collaborating with the Film & Media students who are shooting and editing the footage, while we direct, art direct and produce the film as well as style the models.
We filmed on location at a church across the road from our University campus, which provided the perfect atmospheric setting for our film. Some more footage needs to be shot around the exterior of the building, but today was all about shooting the garments.
Below are some photos I took during filming/setting up etc. and a few of the garment I designed and made last semester. The black, faux leather jacket was inspired by Rick Owens and has an extreme statement collar and long, contrast fabric sleeves that trail along the floor. Not gonna lie, it was really exciting to see the model (who was brilliant, by the way!) all dressed and styled how I'd imagined, considering how much stress I'd gone through to actually make the jacket. All the hard work has definitely paid off! I'm excited to see the rest of the film come together as well as taking part in the editing process.
